The mega database

The Parish Walk 1960 to 2011

I've been compiling statistics on the Parish Walk for 30 years. Initially I was typing them into a spreadsheet from old newspaper reports but now the data receive them directly from SPORTident and merge it with my existing files. For the first time in 2010 I introduced an ID number for each walker which means that ultimately your Parish Walk record won't be confused with someone else of the same name - or yours split into two because you have changed your name or entered with an abbreviated forename one year but not another.

I've still got a long way to go to perfection on this mammoth task but you can help by telling me that "Gill" and "Gillian" are the same person or that I have given the same ID number to two different Fred Crowes.

I hope that you enjoy the more than 100,000 items of data that make up the databases but if you can help me perfect the data I would really appreciate it if you would email murray@manxathletics.com giving me as much information as possible.
