The state owned radio station, Manx Radio, provides live updates from around the course. With the introduction of electronic timing and text messaging their role might appear to be diminishing but instead it has given them the ability to provide much more information to their listeners than ever before to add to their reports and interviews from around the course.

Sports Editor Tim Glover is expected to lead Manx Radio's wall to wall coverage again in 2010

To say that Isle of Man Newspapers provide extensive coverage of the Clerical Medical Parish Walk would be an understatement. Their three weekly papers cover the previews, results and reports, photo spreads, and sponsorship presentations.

Sports Editor John Watterson has been covering the Parish Walk for 25 years

In 2005 Dermot O'Toole launched his book "A Walk Through Time" - a detailed history of the Scottish Widows Parish Walk. In 2010 (before Christmas) he will be publishing a second edition. In addition to writing reports for each of the years 2005 to 2010 (and making a few corrections) he wants to freshen it up and add some new photos. If you have any photos from any era in the Parish Walk then please email Dermot here.

parishwalk.com is a part of manxathletics.com an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden The event is organised by Manx Harriers and sponsored by Scottish Widows neither of whom are responsible for the content of the site. The official entry forms, race information and results are published here on behalf of the organisers together with independent pictures, statistics and general information compiled by the editor. The links to the live timing provided by SPORTident and sponsored by Manx Telecom are on a separate computer and not controlled by the editor. He is, however, grateful to both parties for making the information available to him. Thanks to the Parish Walk committee of Manx Harriers for organising a great event.. Murray's
