THE PARISH WALK TOP 10 NUMBER 9 ROSEMARIE CRELLIN
Roey Crellin has finished the Parish Walk for the past seven years with her best time of 17:12:19 securing her the honour of being the third fastest female and the fastest born in the Island - almost half an hour faster than the legendary Irene Corlett. Her late father, Herbie Cannell, was a founder member of Boundary Harriers (the organisers of the Parish Walk from 1967 until merger in 1991 with Manx AC), and would be extremely proud to see the following Parish Walk "career":
Roey became a centurion in 2005 and the following year (29 and 30 April) she represented Great Britain and finished 6th in a 170km walk at Bar Le Duc in northern France. Such is the speed and consistency of Roey's Parish Walk performances that I have ranked her above the following three winners:
