Steve Kelly, who finished the Clerical Medical Parish Walk for the first time last week, is one of the most successful road runners in the history of Manx sport. He was pictured on Friday, in his capacity as Chairman of Northern AC, timekeeping at the Ramsey Commissioners Park Runs.

Included in his successes were the following 29 wins in just three events.

Steve is also the second fastest Manx Marathon runner of all time (behind Dave Cowell's 1974 Commonwealth Games run), he holds the record of 52.04 in the tough Western 10, ran the second fastest ever Peel to Douglas run in 1987 (57.45) behind visiting athlete Kevin McCluskey and ran the TT40 5 times with a best of 4.16.06. The above is not intended to summarise his career - he had lots of other successes as well.

Steve completed the course with fellow first time finishers David Stacey and Gill Churcher.
